Weekend Sports Round Up

Please find below the weekend round up of results for our Allied Express sponsored AFL and NRL teams, in addition to the  A Team of Harness Racing.    

 The Allied Express sponsored Wests Tigers have been defeated 40-10 by the Penrith Panthers in a disappointing outing at Pepper Stadium. 

The Panthers raced out to a 28-4 lead at half-time, with Wests Tigers unable to stop a flurry of tries from the home side in a 40-point run of unanswered points. 

Wests Tigers fought hard in the closing stages of the match, however weren’t able to cross for another try with the game finishing at 40-10 in favour of the Panthers. 

The Allied Express sponsored WESTERN Bulldogs' bid to secure a home elimination final remains on track after they romped to a comfortable 40-point win over Essendon at Etihad Stadium on Sunday. 

Playing the Bombers for the first and only time this year, the Bulldogs flew out of the blocks with a six-goal-to-one first quarter and, despite dogged resistance from the undermanned Dons, rode their clear-cut edge in class to a 14.9 (93) to 7.11 (53) victory. The dogs have another injury to their vice-captain but am hoping to be close to full strength for the finals.

The A team had a good weekend recording a 2^nd and a 4^th at  Bendigo on Saturday. We also have a finalist in the group 1 Woodlands Stud Breeders Crown on Sunday the 28^th of August.
